How many metres of cable fit on a cable reel?

The cable length is decisive for the selection of a cable drum. The larger the diameter of the drum body, the greater the cable lengths and larger cross-sections the drum can potentially support. Please note that with increasing cable length and higher cross-section, the weight of the drum also increases significantly. When used indoors, you usually have to bridge less distance, for which shorter cable lengths (e.g. 25 m) are often sufficient. When used outdoors and on construction and assembly sites, the distances are usually much longer. As a standard dimension, HEDI recommends a cable reel with 40 metres This dimension is practical and covers most applications.

Why do I need a cable reels with coloured cable?

Why should you always unroll cable reels completely?

What is the maximum cable length for three-phase cable reels?
