Cable rewinder
The HEDI cable rewinder is available in compressed air or electric versions. It features a robust, enclosed housing for use in areas subject to dust and dirt and is suitable for wall and ceiling mounting with a 150° swivelling bracket.
The grid system allows the compressed air hose or the power cable of the cable rewinder to be locked in almost any position. A slight pull on the hose or cable releases the latching. When not in use, the cable or hose quickly unwinds.

The three-phase cable rewinder is available with 15 m 5G2.5 or with 20 m 5G1.5 neoprene-rubber cable. It is suitable for use in dry environments (IP24), for example for mounting on walls or ceilings in industry or workshops. Maximum power: 2,800 watts (with coiled cable) 5,000 watts (with uncoiled cable)

The spring loaded hose reel in compressed air version is available with 9 m PVC fabric hose 8/12 mm. It can be loaded up to 10 bar. You can choose between two couplings.

How do I install the cable rewinder?
Each HEDI cable rewinder has a connecting cable which can be used to connect the cable rewinder to an on-site socket or a compressed air connection. The connection cable is approx. 1.5 m long for the electric versions. The compressed-air hose reel is supplied with a 1 m long connection hose. The connecting cable must not be crushed or damaged when plugged in.
What must be considered with the cable rewinder?
The cable rewinder is mounted on the wall via a bracket that can be swivelled through 150°.
The grid system allows the power cable or the compressed air hose to be snapped into any position. A slight pull on the hose or cable cancels the latching. During the winding process you must not let go of the hose or cable, but should guide it to the end position. Failure to do so may damage the cable rewinder.
When the hose or cable has reached the maximum length, you must not pull the cable or hose any further and overstretch it. This can also damage the cable rewinder.
What do I do if the thermal protection switch of the cable rewinder has tripped?
The thermal protection switch (red button) on the cable rewinder is tripped due to overload or overtemperature. If this is the case, you should proceed as follows:
- Unplug cable rewinder
- Unplug all loads
- Unroll the cable rewinder completely
- Cool down cable rewinder
- Plug-in the cable rewinder
- Press the red button of the cable rewinder
After that, the spring loaded cable reel is ready for use again.
