What do I need for a camping cable reel?
A camping reel is used to supply your motor home with power. On a camping site the power is distributed over central power supply stations or power sopply pillars. A camping cable reel is needed to bridge the gap between your motor home and the power supply station. For camping sites special regulations must be regarded.

Yes, you should always unroll your camping cable reel completely. By unrolling you prevent heating of the cable reel and avoid dangerous cable fire. For your security every HEDI camping cable reel is equipped with a thermal protection switch. The switch interrupts the power supply, when the reel becomes too hot.
What to do if the thermal protection switch of the camping cable reel has tripped?
If the thermal protection switch of your cmaping cable reel has tripped, the camping cable reel is overheated. The thermal protection switch is a safety feature, which ensures safe power supply for motor homes. To keep on using the campng cable reel, you have to unroll the reel completely and let it cool down. Afterwards push in the thermal protection switch. The cable reel will continue to operate as ussual. If the thermal protection switch of your camping cable reel is damaged, order a spare part from us. The switch can be replaced by every electrician.
What is the best place for my camping cable reel?
