Why should I use a PRCD-S?
A PRCD-S is a protective device that checks whether the phase L, the neutral conductor N and the protective conductor PE are present, correctly connected and not reversed. A PRCD-S significantly increases the safety of current draw on construction and assembly sites. A large number of electrical accidents on construction and assembly sites are due to faulty electrical installations (e.g. incorrectly connected sockets).

Personal protection switch PRCD-S
PRCD-S (mobile protection devices with simultaneos protevtive conductor recognition) care for more safety on the construction site. The german employer's Liability Insurance Association stipulates the use of mobile protective devices (PRCD-S) to protect workers from electric shocks in its regulation DGUV-I 203-006. The personal protection switch detects residual current and interrupts the current inside a very short time. In addition, the PRCD-S continuously monitors the proper functioning of the currently used socket to be used for current consumption. Voltage ans current: 230 V / 16 A, rated tripping current 30 mA, tripping time <30mS.
Protective elbow plug (PRCD).
This protetive elbow plug reliably protects against dangerous electrical shocks. It detects any residual current and interrupts the current inside a very short time. Voltage and current 230 V / 16 A, rated tripping current 30 mA, tripping time <30 mS.

PRCD-S (mobile Personenschutzeinrichtung mit gleichzeitiger Schutzleiter-Erkennung) sorgen für mehr Sicherheit auf der Baustelle. Die Berufgenossenschaft fordert in Ihrer DGUV-I 203-006 den Einsatz von mobilen Personenschutzeinrichtungen (PRCD-S) für den Schutz des Handwerkers. Der PRCD-S erkennt auftretende Fehlerströme und unterbricht dann innerhalb kürzester Zeit den Stromfluss. Darüber hinaus überprüft der PRCD-S den Schutzleiter ständig auf seine Funktion.
