What is a camping adapter cable?
A camping adapter cable is a short extension cable in the cross-section 3G2.5 made of neoprene-rubber (H07RN-F). At one end is a CEE-plug / -coupling at the other end a safety-plug / -coupling.
What do I need a camping cable for?
A camping adapter cable is needed to ensure the power supply on camping sites for devices with safety-plug or EURO-plug. Usually motor homes are connected to the poer supply station via a camping cable reel. With a camping adapter cable it is possible to plug in a motor home with a normal socket. A camping adapter cable enables to use the motor home even away from camping sites.
What should I look for when buying a camping adapter cable?
As a camping adapter cable is often used outdoors the coupling and the plug should be splash-water-protected. Both of our camping adapter cabls have IP44 and are equipped with splash-water-protection covers. Additionally the camping adapter cable should exist out of neoprene-rubber (H07RN-F). Neoprene-rubber is wheater proof and can be used permanently outdoors.
