HEDI Spring loaded cabel reel
The HEDI spring loaded cable reel is available in compressed air or electric versions. It features a robust, enclosed housing for use in areas subject to dust and dirt and is suitable for wall and ceiling mounting with a 150° swivelling bracket.
The grid system allows the compressed air hose or the power cable of the spring balancer to be locked in almost any position. A slight pull on the hose or cable releases the latching. When not in use, the cable or hose quickly unwinds.

How do I connect the spring-loaded cable reel?
Each HEDI spring loaded cable reel has a connecting cable which can be used to connect the spring balancer to an on-site socket or a compressed air connection. The connection cable is approx. 1.5 m long for the electric versions. The compressed-air hose reel is supplied with a 1 m long connection hose. The connecting cable must not be crushed or damaged when plugged in.
What has to be considered with the spring loaded cable reel?
The spring loaded cable reel is mounted on the wall via a bracket that can be swivelled through 150°.
The grid system allows the power cable or the compressed air hose to be snapped into any position. A slight pull on the hose or cable cancels the latching. During the winding process you must not let go of the hose or cable, but should guide it to the end position. Failure to do so may damage the spring-loaded cable reel.
When the hose or cable has reached the maximum length, you must not pull the cable or hose any further and overstretch it. This can also damage the spring loaded cable reel.
What do I do if the thermal protection switch of the spring-loaded drum has tripped?

- Unplugging the spring loaded cable reel
- Unplug all loads
- Completely unwind the spring laoded cable reel
- Allow the spring cable reel to cool down completely
- Re-insert the spring loaded cable reel
- Press the red button on the housing of the spring loaded cable reel
After that, the spring loaded cable reel is ready for use again.
